In my opinion, 2015 is going to be a BIG year for bloggers and online content creators.
There are going to be lots of changes in the online arena, but one thing will still be true – your content is still going to be your most valuable asset.
Predictions for 2015
Varied Content is King– We are becoming an extremely visual society, so if you don’t have text PLUS amazing images PLUS video, then you’re not getting, and keeping, the traffic. Advances in technology make it simple to add amazing photos, graphics, and videos to your content easily. Make sure you keeping up.
Content Marketing is the New Buzzword of 2015 – Content is still king and probably always will be. Businesses are beginning to see the value of content marketing and will begin to hire bloggers on their teams and pay for more sponsored posts so be prepared. Make sure you are signed up with blogger networks and that you are building your following so that you can be ready when they come calling.
Social Media Marketing Becomes More Thoughtful – Many of us have signed up for all of the social media sites since we don’t know what’s going to be next. But then we get overwhelmed quickly and end up leaving them to blow in the wind. IN 2015 you need to choose 1 or 2 and really focus on building your brand and connecting with your audience. You can’t do it all, so now is the time to focus and offer more value on your social platforms also.
LinkedIn will be the “IT” Social Media Platform – With the advent of the ability for brands to publish posts on LinkedIn, you’ll see more content on the social media network, especially because LinkedIn is helping brands promote easier and allows everyone who is connected with you to see your content. Penguin 3.X – Gone are the days of “a” Google update. 2015 will be one continuous update. They will roll out their new algorithms faster and more continuously.
